Watching videos in class is always a cool thing. Especially when learning about how the Supreme Court functions and even how laws are made, and that's just what we did in class.

While watching the video during class, there was lots of informative statements conveyed. First, It describes how a law begins with a case, a written petition asking the supreme court to act, and there are nine supreme court justices consider the questions.

Then, the video also explained the role of the supreme court justices as a whole once they are confirmed to be justices. For example, they are primarily responsible to the law, to their institution, and to their own conscience after the confirmation process.

One fun fact that caught me by surprise is that every week the supreme court receives more than 100 new cases to be reviewed. Accepted petitions, written arguments, and cases are then sent to the justices once a week. Furthermore, the justices have a conference meeting weekly in order to choose which cases the court will accept and decide.

Overall, the video showcased a lot of informative details about the Supreme Court system. Although I feel like there was some information I already knew, there was still lots of resources I learned. Great class day all around.
