ABOUT MYSELF
My name is Harrison Machikas and I'm from Raleigh, North Carolina. I was originally born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which, of course, makes me an Eagles fan. While growing up, I was unfortunately diagnosed with Autism when I was four years old, so my family and I made a life changing decision to move to North Carolina to find better programs that would provide me with the attention I needed. However, It is great enough for me to say, that over the course of many years of attending The Trilogy School from 6th grade till high school graduation, I learned how to develop into a normal individual and conquer my obstacles of autism. One could say it was God's work, or it was the help of having one on one action with my teachers since there were very few students in my class; four at most. Now I am currently attending High Point University as a Communications Major, Presidential Scholar, and Media Fellow Scholar.
During my childhood I found my love for hockey, mostly because of my brother, and I played ever since I was five years old. Though I never really played competitively, I managed to find a roster spot for High Point's Club Hockey team which helped develop me into a more skilled player. Aside from hockey, I also first learned how to ski just over a year ago, and I find myself to enjoy that more than ice skating. But most of all, during my High School phase I found my biggest passion which is music production and DJing. While being inspired by headlining DJs such as Martin Garrix, I've spent the majoirty of my free time learning how to make music and DJ. I even had the pleasure of doing a few gigs at my own school. It has also gotten to a point where I turned DJing into a business at which I started getting a payment for my events. And I hope to follow my passion for DJing and music producing for as long as I can. Despite the possibilities of turning DJing or producing into a career, I also have backup career plans such as striving in the videography or photography industry.
